Do not remember seeing this, but I am wondering something. Let us say I am at a D3 School and am pursuing an Ineligible Player against a D2 School. I know he must sit out at the D2 School next year.

IF my minute promises are the same as the D2 School, do I get a recruiting bump because here at D3 he can actually play the minutes next year that I promise, and at the D2 School he must actually sit out? What about a Start Promise, in that same recruiting situation?

No, the promise is the promise -- the only difference is that you'll actually have to fulfill the promise(s) since you're a D3 school and know the player will play next season whereas the D2 school might not have to if the player continues to remain ineligible but chooses to attend campus rather than go JUCO.

As far as recruiting weight, however, the promises will have the same effect with all else being equal.
