Sky is the Limit / Incredible Upside (when delivered from the AC or HC Scout; NOT FROM THE PLAYER SELF-SCOUT):

Coach,

I just got back from my trip to see Willie Fernandez. Overall, I'd say that he is a very solid D-IA guy. Here's a quick overview of what I saw:

All I can say is, incredible upside potential.
I'm worried that he might take things a little for granted and not work hard.
He's got the skills and looks very comfortable in the secondary.
Breaks down well - solid tackler.

Here is another STL message from the AC. I don't save anything other than the message...could be from the HC scout. I remember I scouted him twice to ensure he was STL.

Tremendous potential - he could be a star.

Copied off WilGibson post from 4/10/2010. I've used this as a guide for me, so I hope it's correct.

3. A truly gifted athlete (in the HC scouting report)

Good potential
1. Above average potential (in the HC scouting report)
2. He's got the potential to improve his game a lot over 4 years with us. (in the AC scouting report)

4. Upside is my middle name (message from recruit)
5. "improve a lot" (from AC scouting report)
6. "room to grow".
7. "With a little work, he could be a very good player" (from HC scouting report)
8. "Good potential for improvement" (from the HC scouting report)
9. "He's not the most gifted athlete . . . but not bad at all." (from the HC scouting report).

Average potential:
1. Looks like he has a hard time making adjustments. (from the HC scouting report)
2. He's made good strides towards reaching his potential over the past couple years. (from the HC scouting report)
3. I think his growth potential is pretty average - nothing special. (from the AC scouting report)
4. My motor never stops running (message from recruit)
5. I give 110% out there (message from recruit)
6. I'm sure that your guys took some good notes about my game, and recognized that I've worked really hard and lived up to my potential. (message from recruit)
7. "Some room for improvement, but not much." (from HC scouting report)
8. "Probably won't see huge improvements." (from HC scouting report)
9. "He seems slow to pick things up in practice." (from HC scouting report)

Low potential
1. "he's worked really hard in high school and has about reached his potential (from AC scouting report)
2. "tapped out" (from AC or HC scouting report, I forget which -- it's been a while since I've seen this message).

This is from my player I scouted that said good strides. I sent 3 a/c scouts.

Coach,

I just got back from my trip to see John King. Overall, I'd say that he is D-III. The skills just aren't at a level for him to land in a higher division. Here's a quick overview of what I saw:

He's made good strides towards reaching his potential over the past couple years.

John King is an above average worker. I have no doubt you'll like this kid's effort, Coach.
Closes to the ball in a heart beat.
When he makes a hit on somebody, they go down.
He doesn't come off of blocks quickly, if at all.

I was excited to see someone from Johns Hopkins taking in my last game. When are you going to come see me, coach? I'm sure that your guys took some good notes about my game, and recognized that my motor never stops running.

In case your guy missed it, here's a quick rundown....
Closing speed. You don't turn the corner against me. I fill gaps with authority. When I hit somebody, they go down. No question. My fundamentals are solid. I don't think I need much work there, Coach.

Did Jerrell Nance like what he saw at my last game? I think I gave him a lot to be excited about. I'm sure that your guys took some good notes about my game, and recognized that I give 110% both on the field and off.

In case your guy missed it, here's a quick rundown....
Closing speed. You don't turn the corner against me. Thwap! I love the sound of a collision. Mechanics, fundamentals, technique, whatever....I got it.
