There are some players like Shaq for example that use brute strength and raw power to play. James harden isn't like that. He uses finesse, speed, and agility.
You misspelled "drama, whining, and flopping"
Yea ok. James Harden a perennial allstar owes all his success to drama whining and flopping. Cool.

yeah Harden's a great player but he's also a freaking soccer diva whose antics often make his games unwatchable

look at this sh!t

I never said he was a bad player. At some point, even Rockets' fans have to acknowledge that his histrionics are pretty bush league.

Bottom line is Harden deserves more FT than any other player because he's the best at drawing fouls.

Harden's style does lend itself to getting fouled a lot, but your continual insistence that some of his moves aren't flops and/or offensive fouls is simply laughable.

the Deadspin article makes a good point regarding this nonsense

That's just it... Harden doesn't do that. He isn't a dirty player. You're confusing him with players like Shaq, Karl Malone, Danny fortson etc. These are players known for being dirty, using the off arm to hook etc. Harden isn't a flopper either. Again you need to look at players like Manu Ginobli, lebron, Reggie miller, etc. Harden is not a dirty player or a flopper. He's a finesse player hat uses skill and special planning to draw fouls.

from the deadspin article

Except, of course, for all the damn fouls on three-point attempts. James Harden has been fouled behind the three-point line eight times in the four games he’s played this series, and a few of those fouls came from the particularly nasty trick you see in the GIF above. All series, Harden has been throwing his arms into defenders who are trying to hedge or go over screens and drawing cheap fouls.

There are a couple of things that are frustrating about this, one of them being the fact that defenders are suddenly being punished for having limbs and playing defense the way they’ve been taught to since they were six years old. But also, the NBA was supposed to have snuffed out this cynical style of play years ago.

Remember when Kevin Durant used to steal oodles of points with his “rip-through” move, in which he would swing the ball up into a defender’s outstretched arm and force a foul call? The league changed the rules in order to stop rewarding that play way back in 2011, and yet here is Harden getting away with essentially the same thing in 2017. He seems to be benefitting from the fact that his move doesn’t look like the one Durant used to do—Durant baited guys in 1-on-1 situations—but the spirit of what he’s doing is the same. Harden has essentially discovered a loophole to the new rip-through rule, and the referees haven’t been smart enough to avoid rewarding him for it.

and zelda hasn't been smart enough to take his blinders off and admit it.

It is not a dirty play, but it is an offensive foul. The non-flopper comment is simply too ridiculous to address. Apparently since there have been 4 guys in NBA history who MAY have flopped more (gotta add Divac), we're not supposed to believe Harden does it.

You're missing the point. There are more than just the ones I named. There are hundreds. Divac that you named is a good example. The point is that he isn't that type of player. I watch him everyday-I know. There are countless players that have the reputation of being a flopper.

And the same goes for the offensive fouls. He simply isn't that type of player. There are thousands of players that are(typically front court players like mason, Oakley, Horace grant, etc). Harden is not. He uses speed, agility, skill, and finesse to score. The fact that you group him in with players like Shaq, Danny fortson, and Bruce Bowen makes me believe you've never actually seen him play.

Zelda, I think you're a little bit biased because Harden is a Rocket. He is a great player, but to say he never flops or should be called for an offensive foul is silly.

LOL at Shaq being a dirty player. Dude coulda taken a ft on 70% of his possessions. He would literally take 20 ftas a game now if not more.

Harden once again put the team on his back and carried them. Not bad for a dirty flipper.

Hopefully zelda knows the truth, but doesn't want to admit it to himself. That's why he keeps twisting what everyone says in to something different so he can somewhat argue. NOBODY even hinted that Harden is a dirty player, but that's now seemingly his entire argument. Very good, very smart player, but also a flopper and a fouler.

Zelda, how is it that on offense Harden is strong enough to finish through all those hard defensive-initiated fouls, yet on defense so weak that the slightest contact sends him sailing on his butt? How's that physically possible?
