Does prestige still flip after the draft or does it roll over after the national championship game?
or both?

I think the draft gives some boosts, but it does flip after the NT.

That is correct - what zorzii says.

Congrats on the Championship in Smith Mully.

As a counterpoint, I made the E8 with no prestige change. It wasn't until after the draft that I was bumped 1/3 of a letter grade, but that was with the #45 draft pick, which shouldn't have bumped my prestige at all.

Ok then for some bullshit look at Illinois in smith and SOMEONE explaining how the hell they kept their prestige. I'm on phone typing so can't link right now.

It's the A+ baseline. It takes 2-3 seasons of crap before you'll see those high A+'s start dropping.

Where is SPUD when you need him?

The baseline prestige and lack of punishment for terrible seasons IS an area of "entitlement" that should have been addressed in 3.0 and was completely missed. Just another example of Seble being utterly out of touch with what needed to be fixed.

yeah, i agree. it's out of whack. a high-prestige program has a so-so NT season and then a losing season...still A+.

the flipside is that i remember the terrific texas southern teams drsnell had in smith...he could never get above A- no matter how well he did there. in his last 4 seasons he made 4 consecutive sweet 16s...stuck at A- prestige...then 1 losing season (14-15) after he left, drops to B+ and kept dropping since. even with midmajors being able to attain better recruits, prestige is still a pretty heavy handicap for top teams.

yeah I agree its not as sweet as when the conferences were filled with the best coaches in the game (like the 35-0 championship in season #81). I figure in this dumbed down, random version of HD that even a choad like you could scrape up 1 post season win.

So at least we agree on that....
