Anyone have any idea as to the percentages here. If I apply for a job that I am a longshot, is it even worth it?

It's low. If anyone else applies you lose. If no one else does it's probably around 15%. I have very little confidence in that #. I have seen people guess %'s before and it's usually around that.

It certainly not 15%. I would say 1 to 5 %.

I have applied for longshot jobs, never gotten the job ever! Basically you will not get it now, if no one else applies I bet Zorzii is correct here, but to be honest do not hold your breath.

So basically I might as well apply and see what happens. Thanks guys, good info going forward.

I personally didn't think I could jump from 3 to 1. I am qualified for some openings, but only the longshots are appealing.

If they don't come through then no big deal. If somehow I land one hopefully the next owner of Cornell won't destroy the team.

Beach : if you are longshot, you probably need one more year to qualifiy. So be patient. I doubt you are getting any longshot.

I didn't get them, which is fine. I had a bunch of teams I could have landed, but I'll just stay at D3. There was a really nice set up in D1. Team has 10 seniors next season. So the AP was super enticing.

Remember, you only ever get resources for 6 scholarships. 6 is ideal. More than that, and you're at a handicap. If you take a team with 10 seniors, you will be trying to fill those spots with AP and cash for 6.

Didn't realize that, but it makes sense.
