I know D3 and D2 you can destroy teams using FCP. Im thinking of switching and focusing on mainly ath spd defense in recruiting. Is this not as good an idea in 3.0 as it used to be? Or is athleticism of good teams high enough that FCP isnt nearly as effective

It's still a sound strategy.

It was overblown by some as the best combination in 2.0. It was certainly a good strategy and probably the easiest to recruit for but I think the good, well balanced teams beast the good spd/ath/def teams more often than not.

A new advantage for those teams is the playing time preference. If it comes down to battles, the FB/FCP teams should have no problem promising minutes since every one plays.
