Raines Season 11 - Just need 1 Topic

Please join us for season 11 of Raines. Since our inception 11 seasons ago, we have been a drama free world with quick rollovers. We have no unusual rules - a typical minimum win requirement and no egregiously poor maintenance of minor leagues.

We have several openings for next season:

New Orleans Hurricanes (69-93, 3rd place AL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRoster.aspx?fid=6406 This team has been in rebuilding mode for several seasons. They have not turned the corner yet but the roster is chalked full of young talent. The top 4 OVR players are rated 88,84,83,82 and are ages 22,21,24,22 respectively. As a result of the minimum salaries, the payroll is under $50M. This is a great pick for players who like rebuilds but don't want to wait around seasons until the team contends. This team is ready to start contending, the talent is there.

Jackson Stonewallers (56-106, 4th place NL south) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6424 This team is in the weakest division of the league, with the winner only amassing 80 wins last year. There is some talent peppered around at all levels but not enough to contend, further rebuilding required. To help with the effort, the team has the #2 draft pick next season.

Los Angeles Da Bums (70-92, 4th place NL West) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6432 Despite in full rebuild mode last year (with nearly $40M prospects of signed) and a payroll of only $50M, the team still won 70 games. One of the prospects (85 OVR) is sitting in AAA and ready for the call-up. There are several other future starters nearly ready to be called up. This is a good situation to get into.

San Diego Manatees (73-89, 3rd place AL West) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6416 This team has changed had among 4 owners in the last 4 years and needs a new owner to bring a sense of direction. There is good young talent on the team including https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7615026 and https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7448196 and https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6732778. There is enough talent to build from and contend in a weaker division (winner had only 87 wins last year)

Montgomery Spawn (76-86, 2rd place NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6423 This team finished just 6 games out of the division title last year. The overall franchise is in very good shape having been shepherded by the same owner since the beginning of the world. The team has solid talent up and down the farm system but needs to be taken in a more forceful direction through trades or free agency.

Boston Red Sox (77-85, 3rd place NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6427 This team is only a couple seasons removed from multiple 100+ win seasons and there is a lot of elite veteran talent still left on the team.

Mexico City Cartel (82-80, 1st place NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6425 This team is fresh off a division title. This team is led by 25 year old, 94 OVR Yamid Guerrero (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7448227) and surrounded by strong cast of supporting players. There are also 3-4 ready for the ML players in the minors to help take this team to the next level.

Please let me know if you are interested in one of these teams.
