  • This is a friendly, drama-free world. This season the world had an open discussion over the course of a week or two regarding allowable trades. It was a cordial, polite, and scholarly discussion that is rarely seen in HBD.
  • Seven different champions in the previous ten seasons
  • No crazy rules that inhibit friendly competitive play
  • Many opportunities to build a team to your liking

AL North
Cincinnati (81-81) #20 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by MadTree Brewing) The Redlegs have mired in mediocrity for some time and could use a owner who a sustained direction. Young Victor Rodriguez leads this squad. TAKEN

AL East
Syracuse (68-94) #9 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by Middle Ages Brewing Company) Looking for a team that has a rebuild started? Look no further than this squad. Stud prospect Arnold Goodwin bolsters a future champion squad.

AL South
Huntington (69-93) #10 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by Huntington Beach Beer Company) The previous owner realized a rebuild was necessary and began the process last season. As such, many prospects have been acquired via trade last season while speedy Taylor Orlando was taken 10th overall in the draft.

AL West
Sacramento (62-100) #5 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by Track 7 Brewing Company) Sacramento is a true rebuild that will require patience and scouting. All is not lost, as the team features young stars Ron La Stella at the Big League level and new drafted Otis Jacquez in the minors. With just $44mm tied up in player payroll next season, the next owner can build the team as they see fit! TAKEN

San Francisco (70-92) #12 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by Speak Easy Ales & Lagers) San Fran is headed in the right direction with a few seasons of good draft picks to bolster the farm system. Dane Rivers, Davy Swisher, and Damaso Mangual lead the effort. TAKEN

NL South
Santa Fe (71-91) #12 Amateur Draft Pick (Sponsored by Santa Fe Brewing Company) Santa Fe hasn't had a winning season in 8 years. I bring this up because it primed for a committed owner who wants to put his/her rebuild skills to the test. Prospects Francicso Mercado and Kris Heyward lead the rebuild endeavor! TAKEN

Santa Fe is an attractive franchise considering its position in the upcoming draft and all of the good, young talent on its ML roster. That team won't be available for long.

Welp, Santa Fe didn't last long.

That Rodriguez guy for Cincinnati hasn't missed a game in three seasons and had one heck of a case for MVP last year. Strong building block for whoever gets that franchise.

And there goes Cincinnati.

Sacramento sure is an attractive franchise: A few good players to start with and lots of payroll flexibility. Someone can put their stamp on that team real quick like.

I'm really enjoying this league so if you're looking for a solid challenge with active owners think it over
