Owners will pick which season they would like and which league (American or National). There are between 28 and 30 choices in each 24-team league. The first 12 of either league (American or National) chosen will close that out. In other words, if the 20th owner picking in League 1 chooses the 12th National League team taken, then, obviously that means that eight others chose an American League team and the remaining four owners must choose an American League team. Once all teams have been chosen and loaded into their leagues, the alignment will be chronological in each league (A.L. / N.L.).
For this league, we'll be dealing with 1901-1915 (No Federal League). There are 8 franchises in each league:
American League:
Athletics
Brewers/Browns
Highlanders/Yankees
Tigers
White Sox
Americans/Red Sox
Blues/Naps
Senators
National League:
Cardinals
Orphans/Cubs
Reds
Giants
Pirates
Phillies
Beaneaters/Doves/Braves
Superbas/Dodgers
Salary Breakdown: You must spend a minimum of $10M on players or pitchers from each franchise.
