A long time ago, I came up with the idea of the Exclusive Ownership draft where each owner submits his 25-man roster and only those players that aren't submitted by any other owner do you get to keep. This iterative process continues until all 24 owners have a complete roster. Donburgh has done a great job taking over that theme and it's currently in it's 59th season.
This new theme will take this concept and apply it to single-season teams. Here are the rules:
The Drafting Process:
Each owner will submit 5 single-season teams. He does not have to submit any specific players... just the teams (i.e., 1927 Yankees, 1985 Cardinals, 1969 Orioles, 1906 Cubs, 1965 Dodgers). Once all 24 owners submit their teams, I will compare all the selections. Teams selected more than once instantly become blacklisted. Teams selected exactly once become locked in to the owner that submitted that team. Then another round of teams will be submitted among the owners that don't have 5 teams yet. So using the example above, assume multiple people selected 27 Yanks, 06 Cubs and 69 Orioles, but only this particular owner selected 85 Cardinals and 65 Dodgers. He then would submit 3 different (un-blacklisted) teams. This process continues until all 24 owners have 5 unique teams.
Roster Building:
You must use exactly 5 players from each of your 5 teams to build your roster. So, keep this in mind as you want maximum flexibility as it is unlikely many people will get all five of their choices on the first iteration.
Ballpark:
Your ballpark must be one of the parks that one of your five teams called home during that season. If you select a team that no ballpark exists, well then you simply have fewer choices to pull from.
Salary Cap:
This theme will use a $100 million cap. There is no special exemption for cheap scrubs - you must use 5 players from each of your 5 teams.
Seasons:
Use teams from 1901 thru 2016 only.

I will not open any site-mails, until I determine my 5 teams. I will then send it to the first three people that sent me their team selections. Once I see that these three owners have opened my site-mail, I will start opening up site-mails and recording everybody's selections. I repeat this process each round until my 5 teams have been determined.
