Worst luck ever (3 missed buzzer beaters) Topic

Three of my 16 losses (19%) at MVSU (a rebuild I just took over in Smith) have ended on missed buzzer-beaters that would have either tied or won my team the game.

Missed layup at the buzzer down by 1: https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=14311658&tab=boxscore

Missed mid-range jumper at the buzzer down by 2: https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=14305688&tab=boxscore

Missed full-court shot down by 1: https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=14290524&tab=boxscore

Anyone know what the record for most missed buzzer beaters in a season is (in HD or real life)? The full-court shot technically isn't in the same ballpark as the first two, but still.

That first game included a missed dunk and two blown layups all in the last 3 minutes.

I remember when I first started playing way back when, I once won four games on buzzer beaters in a single season at DePauw. But haven't been on the opposite end of it like this.

MVSU did win on a last second shot this season though (our only win of the season thus far): https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=14275296&tab=boxscore

Yeah that's pretty rough. I had a season once at 0-4 in OT games. Crazy.

Here's a tough run:
Last week, my Crum conference mate at Pitt ( the Hall Of Fame coach goodtymes31) lost a National Final, down 1, by missing a last shot.
This week, in another world, his Michigan State team was down 2 and missed another last second shot that would have tied it.
Great coach, and luckily both his Pitt and Michigan State teams had won National Championships in the past.

Your players think they get a higher draft pick if they lose.
