I currently play gridiron D2 and I am about to start my first season in Hoops how fast can I move up to D2 in hoops so I can get up to the same school I use in gridiron. Just so I know how much effort I need to put into my D3 team. If its like Gridiron you can move up after 1 season no matter what

After one season you can move up.
You still need to have a minimum amount of success to move up after one season. It's not automatic.

Coaches that have won 0-2 games their first season in D3 qualified for and taken D2 jobs the next season.

A user in Rupp won 10 games in D3 this past season, and is not qualified to move up to D2.

Another user in Smith won 9 games in D3 a few seasons ago, and was not qualified to move up to D2.

There's either a bug occurring post-3.0 rolling out or a change was made to the jobs logic without them telling us. Prior to 3.0 you were automatically qualified for D2 after 1 season at D3.

I won zero games at D3 Chicago in Naismith a season or two ago and was qualified to move up.

EDIT: it was season 93. I went 0-27 with an RPI of 362. Would have had no problem moving up if I hadn't bailed to a new team in Rupp.

He must have done something to wreck his loyalty or reputation or something. I was eligible for any D2 after one season at D1..

What sort of thing could he have done? All players were sim recruited so he couldn't have done anything to **** them off. Or at least anything that would have hurt his loyalty/rep.

Is it possible the coach applied for the same job as a more qualified coach and lost out on that specific job? Or was the coach not qualified for any available job?

I think he applied for 4 jobs in the Rupp Peach Belt. None are taken as of now.
