This is from a 100 million league at game 118. Have had 1943 Jack Hallett (51 IP) all season, set as Set-Up A, 6th inning 15-20 pitches, Rest 95. I have all the bullpen set to 6th inning and 95 Rest. However, Sparky seems really reluctant to go to Jack only using him 9 times for 7 innings so far. Much lower than any of the other bullpen.

Any ideas what Sparky has against Hallett?? He had a couple of bad outings early on but hasn't had a chance to even out his stats.

Have you tried setting the other relievers to Setup B? In this scenario, i believe Sparky would likely use him before the other guys.

Too many other better options? If there is a pitcher with a better real life oav or whip, and all things are equal, then it goes to the "better" pitcher

When all else is equal, the lower OAV is brought into the game first. Every time. If you do have every reliever set to 6th inning and 95 rest, then Hallet must have one of the higher OAV numbers, which is why he's not getting into many games. The way to fix that is to increase his pitch count to get more usage out of him when he does make appearances, or change reliever settings so he has a better chance to come into the game. Changing him to Setup B will allow him to be used in lower-leverage spots, which may be the best choice since he's not really your best reliever.

All good points, but the simplest way to solve the problem if you really want Hallet to pitch as a setup A is to just set your other relievers to setup B. Sparky would almost always bring him in first as the setup guy regardless of his oav.

Hallet is not the best reliever. I don't think the goal is for him to be chosen instead of someone better, just for him to make more appearances.

If you just want him to be used more often, just set him to Long A or Long B. That way you'll get some usage which could lessen the strain on your starters, and your better relievers will still be used as setup guys.
