Which number is more important RPI or the ranking on the left?

The number on the left of the projection report is much more accurate than rpi regarding your projected tournament seeding.

RPI 80 Ranking of 61 which tournament am i getting in then

You won't make the NT unless you win your conference Tournament. So the PI for now.

You could gain ground if you win a few more. Generally you want to be in the top 45. Since there are conferences exclusively with sims and they get an auto bid. Those teams will most likely be outside of the top 64 in projections.

the projection report is a very accurate indication of where one stands to get into the tournament

there are 64 spots - but as in real life some number of slots will go to automatic bids that are below or way below #64 on the projection. How many such slots go to auto bids varies from season to season. you can even look as conference tournaments get going and guesstimate the number of such slots as the season winds down

I would typically count on atleast a dozen auto bids taking spots so unless your right around the 50 mark just assume you'll be in the PIT

That's fine with me don't want to be a 16 seed anyways hahaha

Win your conference tourney, and you'll probably be a 12-14 seed.

At least you have realistic expectations, that's a good sign.

Played this game way too long to have any expectations

Yeah - I think around 50 is usually pretty safe, but once you get above that it's kind of sketchy.
