Just curious, is it possible for a D2 school to beat out a SIM D1 for a 2 or 3 star recruit?
Yes - I think that this should be fixed, because it is actually not hard to do
I don't think D2 should be able to recruit nor scout these players
So, we're back to protecting D1 again, eh? I've seen it called D1 welfare, what you're proposing. The game has a nice balance, with some recruits for everybody.
Yeah some guy named coachspud called it D1 welfare a lot. But he was a joke and no one took him seriously. Glad he's not around anymore.

It gives location too much of an impact. And it gives D2 and D3 recruiting some sort of a waiting feel that looks like a boring time. First session is pretty much a waste of time. And waiting on the last day for D3 makes it a non-recruiting thing.
Is this gonna be the new thing? I guess, since every thread doesn't become "EE!!!!", maybe it is.

This thread was about distributing attention points. Thanks for turning it into "separate players for each level".

They should get rid of all D1/D2/D3 designations, and let players fall to where they fall. Scoutable and recruitable by everybody.

But D1 recruiting efforts > D2 recruiting efforts > D3 recruiting efforts.
I think no designations would lead to new players massively overshooting and blowing their budgets instantly
Recruits are already graded at scouting level 1 as A, B, C, D or F. That should be a clue about overshooting.

Not to someone who is in their first few seasons............

Live and learn. If you try to protect people too much from making mistakes, you can over-sanitize the game.

But honestly, that can be addressed by an email from your AD cautioning a D3 player against overreaching, and giving some guidelines about how high up to target. Go beyond the guidelines at your own risk.

It seems you guys are confusing two things, players availability and recruiting problems.

It seems you don't know what this thread is about.

i don't know why everyone hates you so much lol does it make me a bad person that i usually tend to agree with you?
4/29/2017 4:45 PM
No but saying you do is a real good way to get lumped in with me.

I like Mike. I think he brings good points 25% of the time.

It's far more than that. I'm a fresh voice in a stale forum. I don't have any pre-determined talking points or any subconscious opinions based on my team's success/failure.

Human nature is to protect your own. I don't have a HBD "own".

"I'm a fresh voice in a stale forum."

Almost spit out my soda on that one..LOL
Since when can the forum troll be considered the "fresh voice"?

Made it 1.5 pages before skidding into the bar ditch.

I like MikeT also, and tend to agree too damn often on HD call-outs.
