WTF happened there?

If it can merge with 10 other worlds that also have 29 openings, then it would only need two to get started.

Did it have an active chat with friendly and helpful owners?

My understanding is that the longtime commisioner had to step away due to a personal issue. I sort of helped another owner run his team in that world, and the guy was a very good commish IMO. Evidently no one else took it on.

So your collusion killed the world? Good job.

Of the three owners left:

One has 24 seasons invested in Gehrig. I feel sorry for him.

One is trying to play his first season in Gehrig. He took over last season's WS winner. Low hanging fruit.

The third guy has six seasons in Gehrig, won his division last season, and is so optimistic that he's already reserved for NEXT season. That's kind of funny.

I was a co-manager. One team, one owner. I did not have another team in the world.

That's what I'd say if I killed a world.

I was in it and it died when the comish had to step away because of health issues. He tried to get someone to take over but no one else wanted the job and eventually he let it go public and many owners, myself included, did not want to be in a public world.

Did you consider approaching/recruiting somebody from outside your world to specifically come it to be commish?

I didn't but with only 5 seasons and a new position at work taking up a lot of time in I wasn't that invested in the process or the world.

I would assume that all of the worlds listed below are DEAD..

Carew 17 open
Fingers 18 open
J. Fernandez 24 open
Gehrig 29 open

Not necessarily. It may take months but worlds with that many openings will eventually fill. Rice not Lynn and Cool Papa Bell are recent examples of Worlds with openings in the high teens that filled. However, Fernandez may be dead for many other reasons (no pun intended.)

Well that question has finally been answered - it just rolled over to season 43 after a 22 month hiatus.

Lol that's the stuff of legend right there
