I've lived the Grant Hill/Jalen Rose life in draft leagues, it won't work. The Pau/Zeke picks also hurt. If he wins two playoff GAMES with this squad, I'll buy him a season. (In Scattagories S4). TAKE THAT FOR DATA!!!

Anyone have basic thoughts on my team? I don't pick for a while.

15. beachhouse - Anfernee Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning, Mark Price, Marcus Camby, Clyde Drexler

looks pretty strong to me. Sometimes it's the team that doesn't beat themselves. This team qualifies. Camby/Mourning and penny/price both balance each other out nicely. I don't think anyone ever regretted drafting Drexler. Playoffs for sure

I just have to get the right big men for backups. Scarce later in the draft versus what fits well.

KJ is awfully nice value in the bottom half of the fifth.
I was ready to take KJ and got the offer from cjok and decided to roll the dice and see if he'd still be there and pick up a 5th rounder to get a good 6th man, which is often a challenge for me. Very happy to have gotten Kanter as a result. Hopefully I'll have enough 3's

STRATEGY FOR LAST SEASON - for what it's worth:
The one reoccurring critique of my teams has been a lack of 3s - last season my team was heavy on 3s, above average efg%, with 2 rebounders (Russell & Bellamy) with above average oreb% - which yielded the WORST RECORD.

As fate would have it, I ended up with the 4th pick.
As such, I opted to try the assist bump to see if it really works.

It does 'really work', but I don't think you'll have enough to make it work... You need about 140% minimum on the floor at all times... perhaps a little less would work, but definitely over 130%. I ran a test team once at 120%... I did see a very small efg boost.. very small...

I'm using 90-91 Parish and his 59.8% efg. Also the fewest TOs & best FT% of any Parish & 12.5 oreb%... 60D won't kill me beside Admiral. Parish, Porter, & Nelson all have an efg over 58%... the Parish pick leaves me a little lighter on the Defensive boards than I prefer - but I think 89.5% is close to 'enough'. My plan was to draft a stud rebounder there... but I couldn't pass on the 60% efg.... I'm too weak. Lol... almost took Webber to make him my backup sf & C- then take a rebounder instead of Nelson.... but I didnt... lol

I was torn between Buck, Parish and Boozer. Went with Buck's better D. Same reason I took Lowry over KJ.

It'll be interesting to see how dh's team fares. I like to have at least a couple strong defenders who can make defensive switches. But if a team is going to run the table without strong D, that would be the one to do it.

im hoping good dreb% and low fouls will help with the d

boozer was a risky play(and i hate that he steps on barkleys toes a lil usg wise) but i loved his scoring and rebounding next to barkley...im gonna have a nice inside-out attack thats strong on the boards....filling out the rest will be a challenge between adding some defense or making the offense even better...will probably come down to who's left in the 6th...have a few guys in mind i really hope fall

I am just hoping that one of the owners ahead of you in the 6th will trade their second 6th rounder for my 132 A pick (for no good reason whatsoever). That way I will definitely take one of the players that you are trying to snag. That would be fair compensation for so rudely taking advantage of scudmissle like that in the trade for Anthony Mason ha ha ha!

Pffft mason is a 5th rounder anyway. Not sure why anyone was upset about that trade

Also wouldn't be the first time an owner changed his mind on a player and traded them mid draft

scuds been doing this longer than anyone. Respect your elders Vance!

Question for DH: is there a "can't start undrafted players" rule in this league?
