Even at "Very Aggressive", I can't get it to intentionally walk as often as I want it to. Is this like the RH-LH Specialist settings that just don't work, or is it just that Simmy just has built-in limits?

Can't help but I've got a slightly related question: Is it ever advantageous to have a high IB? I've always kept it at the lowest setting.

I've reached my own conclusion, this totally doesn't work. Past few games, set on Very Aggressive, we've been pitching to guys with 95+ power no matter what.

33 games, leading the league in intentional walks, but only 6th in total walks. I totally trust my pitchers to get the guy after the power hitter, yet we keep pitching to the power hitter.

The manager setting says "A more aggressive setting will walk power hitters with the bases empty and no outs." Seems like that's ALL it does. It doesn't walk the power hitter with two men on.

Yes, I'm just complaining now. Sorry for wasting your time.

Ah hell. I suppose if the setting did what I want it to, we'd all use it, and the big hitters would end up with about 400 walks per season.

Maybe it's a (1-2 out, 1st base open) thing for power hitters. I've noticed a lot of IBB to get to my pitcher but nothing else that stands out on my teams.

I wish they would allow more costomization. I understand they can't let you say 'walk _____' everytime they come up to bat. Just like they can't say 'these three players steal everytime, these 6 never steal'. But just to give it more of a personal touch. For me, i hate when I have base stealing set to average and someone tries to steal second with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out.

In the regular season I usually do 2 or 3, but in the playoffs I typically bump it to 4. The logic is that I'm facing better lineups on average in the playoffs, and small sample size makes gambling more attractive. Just won a World Series against a team who had this player Player Profile: Derrek Hammonds, somebody like that can single-handedly beat you so I just want him on first base
