Well, someone has to win the pitcher's Gold Glove. It does kinda suck when your pitcher makes an error that blows up into a rally. And I've had a few pitchers who get the call to pinch hit every so often. Those things will bring their Overall ratings up a little, but no, that's not why I pay them.
