whats yall's stance on recruiting ineligible players? Are the untouchable for D1?

Do it all the time at all levels. High WE is important for them because they will grow or lose points in the season between their fr. and sophomore year

I signed 3 in one class at LSU. Was kind of shocked they all came. But I have a pressing team, so I still hurt myself.

Yah I was wondering this same thing awhile ago to get a jump on DI players. The concensus seems to be that only press teams shy away from ineligibles. If the player is a stud, he will get interest whether he qualifies academically or not.

just signed 3 nonqualifiers at St Johns to see if it was possible. Also have a soph who was a nonqualifier.

Is there value in making an offer to an ineligible after you have filled all scholarships in the hopes they will go to JC? I have two scholarships this season but 6 up for grabs next season so I wondered if it is an effective strategy in getting a head start on recruiting for next season.

mg, yes. If you can have a player interested in you and he is definitely going Juco, he may begin the next season already considering you.
