What is the cut off in order to get a good or very good on the perimeter offense preference?

It's based of % of 3FGA taken. I think around 35% you reach good and 40% is very good.

Someone tracked it and it's in a couple threads. If you search "preferences" or something you may be able to find it in an earlier thread.

38.2% is Good with my WCSU team.

Thanks guys. I am at 33%, so I am getting neutral for both. I don't like that teams with a balance offense get punished.

I'm very bad for perimeter on all my teams no matter what. I guess it's better than always neutral!

Cub, I think that means you should be very good for paint offense.

Then shoot the ball better

It's 3 pt taken not made. He could be shooting 100% beyond the line but only doing it 33% of the time and get the same result.

That makes sense then.

Sorry drichar, that's what I meant. I wrote it in a very cryptic was but my meaning is I would rather be very good/very bad instead of always neutral.

It's not getting punished the other teams are just rewarded for having a less balanced offense because that's what the players "want." I kinda like it.

That's not really true. Paint offense is not the inverse of perimeter offense. You can be neutral in one and good (or bad) in the other. The game doesn't treat all non 3 point shots as points in the paint. I suspect paint offense is based on the points in the paint figures found in the play by plays. You can field a team whose offense is based primarily on mid-range jumpers, and be very bad for perimeter and bad for points in the paint.
