And while Lee may not be Top 4 pick material, few would complain about getting a .875 OPS catcher who will hit 30ish homers, even if he only gets 400 ABs.
Lee OC was picked 31 in his class.

You just said you'd never take him with a Top 4 pick. If he wasn't a Top 4 pick, then why are you using him as an example? You have no clue what you're arguing anymore.

I am a DII college baseball coach. We signed a JuCo guy this past year. His JuCo coach told us that he can only pitch once a week because of how long he takes to recover. I got him on my recovery program and started making him throw the day after an outing to increase blood flow. He whined and moaned about doing this until he noticed how much better his arm and body were feeling. He voluntarily came back and threw on 2 days rest in our regionals at the end of this season. Our scouts, his former coach, misevaluated his durability. This pitcher was actually more durable than what the scouts thought, but it works vice-versa as well. I think this is a very realistic aspect of the game.
30% improvement in durability increase projections are extremely unrealistic over a 4 yr span of time. I am a former coach and scout for over 35 years.

The point is a scouting report that projects 80 and then we learn the starting point is 56. That is BS. Any scouting report would have a much better idea of the starting range and less on the long term.
There's no way this refers to a position player.

Unless you meant durability, in which case you really should pay attention to which category you're referencing.
Still waiting for you to address this. No way you were referring to a hitter with 56 stamina.

I never saw his starting stamina numbers none of us do regardless of your budget. My point is you don't EVER get 30 % improvement in a 4 yr cycle on high school or college athletes. The game is flawed in that area.

Well, stamina for hitters doesn't change much. Which is why you don't know what you're talking about.

I just showed you a pitcher who's stamina improved 22%, which again, isn't far off considering you only have a scouting budget of $14M. Being off by 8% isn't that bad.

As for position players and durability, here you go: https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=8051646

Bruce Milton's stamina has already improved by 25% in 3 seasons. I suspect it'll be right around 77 (30%) before he's done developing.

Take your roster and add up their starting points stamina at yr 1 to yr 4 and tell me what your total pct is.

Uh, no. Otherwise, there wouldn't be two categories.

Now you can make this easy and post the player you're talking about. Or I can go thru your teams and look for your 4th pick.

"Stamina /durability are one in the same."

This explains a lot. Go learn the game, then come back and talk. Stamina and durability are two very different things.

What would that accomplish? Every player on my roster wasn't a top pick. Milton was drafted 7th overall and his durability will improve by 30% in 4 years.

Clearly your scouting budget just sucks. Deal with it.

For a pitcher yes not for a position player.

Another one: https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerStats.aspx?pid=7803209

Gallo was drafted 8th overall. His durability has improved by 30% over 4 years. And I'm certainly not ******** about his 450 ABs of .900+ OPS every season.

So once again, spend more on scouting, or STFU.

Yes, they are different for a position player. A position player's stamina doesn't matter. Only his durability.
