Yeah we can wait until the actual draft starts to see if the new season is out, but if the draft starts and the players aren't out yet I think we need to not allow them. It's silly to draft players that may or may not be out yet. Just my two cents.

We need to add a rule that all trades need to be approved by the commish or posted and voted on by the owners.

I'm not saying every trade has to be totally even, but we cant have ppl trading a top 3 pick for a 3rd and 4th.

Join up folks. Best league there is and a good place for rooks to ger their feet wet and gain some knowledge of draft leagues.

so I am sympathetic to this impulse but also worry that any kind of on the fly vetting process might bring the draft to a grinding halt

It would be faster if the commish has the authority to make the decision. I have no problem with that.

Yeah that would work. Just a protection against really bad trades that have no place in this league.
