Maybe it was too easy for him.

I remember back in the early days when the pitcher's salary was based on his real life ERA. It was easy to find guys with great ERCs but relatively poor ERAs and win 110+ games every league. I was about ready to quit playing then, because there was no more challenge.

Must be nice to be that much better than everyone else. He knows how Jordan felt, I guess.

Oz, you will need more than 3. You will need a wait list too as schwarze also burned through 5 or 6 people on the wait list each season. You might need to cut back on the number of participants in this years tournament or change the dates on roster entries.

Hey magicdreamer, thanks for the feedback. We've already had 5 additional sign ups (98 total) and have had five people drop so far. No need to worry.

At this point, reducing to 72 (the next logical number) would mean 21 people who want to play wouldn't get to. I think it's much more likely that we'll find 3 more who want to vs 21 of our 93 who don't.

Another extreme option is to post in the classifieds the six themes as separate leagues. People can then sign up for just one of the leagues. You could easily get 3 more people to sign up for each of the 6 leagues (i.e., 18 people, although some folks may sign up for 2 or even 3 leagues). They wouldn't be part of the Championship and the overall prize money would have to be modified accordingly.

That being said, I bet we get this filled soon.

Yep - there was an ad posted in every league a couple weeks ago. I believe we got a good amount of signups from it
