ROUND THREE of the Holiday Tournament will run like this:

Once the regular season of Round Two is completed, I'll determine the draft order for the 3 Leagues in Round Three by using the playoff contenders and, after that, which non-playoff teams had the most wins across all eight leagues.

When the drafts begin, you'll simply choose which group from which division you want to use. Once a spot has been picked, it's off the board and there will be no changing your mind (unless of course the person picking directly after you hasn't picked yet).

Using common sense, I'll make sure that any owner with more than one spot in Round Three will have their teams split up. If you have three spots in Round Three, you’ll have one team in each league. Four or more spots - you'll obviously have more than one team in a league - we'll just make sure that one is on the N.L. side and one is on the A.L. side. For CHISOCK who had seven teams advance, he’ll end up with three teams in a league which means two of the three will end up on the A.L. or N.L. side. We just need to make sure they aren’t in the same division.

There are at least five choices to be made in every division of each league. Once four spots are chosen in any division, that division is closed out. Once all 12 spots in the N.L. or A.L. of any of the three leagues has been taken, that league (American or National) is closed out.

The splits were determined by the total number of wins for each franchise since their conception. That's why each grouping has different seasons to build your teams with.

CAP – $120M.

You may use either partial or full season stats of any player who had a split season - as long as the stats indicate it was for your franchise.

Stadium – All teams will use a stadium (or one of if more than one) that was their franchises "Home Stadium" during the seasons in play for your squad.


Who Moves On?

Once Round THREE is complete, the owners who own the six division-winning teams in each league will earn a spot in the Championship Round - Round Four. Pay particular attention to that - wildcard teams will not automatically earn a spot in the next round. That leaves 6 spots to fill. The final 6 spots will be awarded to the teams who had the most wins across all 3 leagues (who didn't win their prospective division). The tie-break (should it come into play) will be (1) Most Home Wins, and (2) Highest total from Runs Scored minus Earned Runs.

1918-1953 White Sox. An interesting choice to go #1 since it doesn't seem to jump off the page. But a large pool of player-seasons stretching from the dead-ball years to post WWII has its advantages.

Sorry for the delay. It's really hard for me to find much differentiation between all of these choices. For reasons I don't fully understand I'll go with 1985-2016 Detroit Tigers.
