NO CLONE teams????????

Does this mean that once an Indians(1969) team gets drafted NO other Indians team will be available?..... even if it is from 1927??

Yes! BUT, example: Milwaukee Brewers had a NL team and an AL team - not considered clones.
also,
Miami Marlins and Florida Marlins - not clones.
Milwaukee Braves - Boston Braves - Atlanta Braves - not clones.

Two questions:
1) If you pick a team with fewer than 25 players in the database, you can get by with AAA in year 1. Assuming the number is low enough that you can't get to 25 in year 2, how do you fill out a roster?
2) For split seasons, can you take the combined season, or just the partial?

reddtrain , Great question.
1) If you pick a team with fewer than 25 players in the database, you can get by with AAA in year 1. Assuming the number is low enough that you can't get to 25 in year 2, how do you fill out a roster?

This is not the first time I have run a SUB .500 season team draft.
There are VERY FEW teams that do not have ( 25 ) players on the roster,
ESPECIALLY, when you use the Min. Games at ALL - and change 20 to 0 then check - Include secondary Positions
You usually get 4 to 5 more players that were NOT on the original download.
EXAMPLE: Download the 1935 Boston Braves and a player named Babe Ruth is NOT on the roster.
Change 20 to 0 and check Include secondary positions and there he is @ $ 463,920 - Always good for a TWIST or DRAFT

"IF" a team has at least ( 24 ) then we have the 60/20 Way below average AAA to fill the AB's and IP's for Season 1
THEN - "IF" you have ( 24 ) the Season 2 draft will give you ( 25 ) WITHOUT A CUT.
Then it's up to the owner if he wants to carry 1 or 2 $ 200 K scrubs,
Until he drafts players in the following seasons WITHOUT CUTS, Until he reaches ( 25 ) players.
THE OWNERS' DECISION.

NOTE! - I have found only ( 1 ) team EVER to have only ( 22 ) on a roster.
That was the 1919 Detroit Tigers. So, Ty Cobb , Harry Heilmann and Dutch Leonard and the DRAFT PICK for Season 2
had to squeak out wins for 2 more seasons to get from ( 23) to ( 25 ). They did it.
I can't remember who the DRAFT PICK was but, I know Cobb was the 1st twist.

2) For split seasons, can you take the combined season, or just the partial?

Whatever you like.
The player will keep that partial or combined for the remaining seasons
BUT, "IF" you decide to change from a combined to a partial or vice versa in a later season.
You will need to use one of your ( 7 ) available TWISTS OR ( 7 ) available DRAFT PICKS

P.S. reddtrain with this Owner Rating -11319
AS of Now - You would move to the # 2 SUB .500 Team Draft Pick
and if you enter ( 2 ) teams - 1 NL & 1 AL one of those - your choice would have the # 29 DRAFT PICK
# 2 & # 29 is what you would have. Double your chance to move on to Season 2

Check out the 1887 Pittsburgh Alleghenys. I'm not sure WHY you would subject yourself to this, but they only have 16 distinct players (13 hitters (one duplicate) and 4 pitchers) - and they are eligible to be drafted.

Either way, count me in for two teams. I can't imagine there's many more owners that will enter with worse ratings than I have, so hopefully my first choice team will survive until I can draft.

One other question: Can you twist players that appear on the roster for your team on Baseball-Reference, but don't appear on your roster on WIS?

And another: If someone takes the 1919 Red Sox, that eliminates Ruth from the roster of the 1935 Braves, right? If that happens, and the 1919 Red Sox get eliminated while the 1935 Braves survive, does Ruth become a twist option? Or is he only a draft option at that point?

NO. The only players you may use are the players you are able to download for the Season 1 roster.
WHY? Trying to figure out which players were on other teams and who picked them first. and the 2nd owner maybe having to change his team pick after other owners were all done, would be a NIGHTMARE!
Whatever players you are able to DOWNLOAD per WIS on your Season 1 roster is it.

YES! - NO CLONES.
The 1st owner to pick would DOWNLOAD his roster using the LDT - LIVE DRAFT TOOL
When an owner downloads a player / that player is ERASED from the SEARCH TOOL and is NO LONGER AVAILABLE

1919 Boston Red Sox - Babe Ruth 1919
Boston Red Sox eliminated in Season 1
Babe Ruth is back in the LDT for ALL owners to Draft in Season 2.

Stupid question...I think....ANY sub 500 team in the database is available?
8/8/2017 11:21 PM
The owners fees are calculated on a basis of $12.95 for a 24 team league, all others are pro rata from that number, so:

1 ( 30 Team League ) - $ 16.19
2 ( 28 Team League )- $ 15.11
3 ( 26 Team League )- $ 14.03
4 ( 24 Team League )- $ 12.95
5 ( 20 Team League )- $ 10.79
6 ( 18 Team League )- $ 9.71
7 ( 16 Team League ) - $ 8.63
8 ( 12 Team League )- $ 6.48

I am considering whether I have time enough for the league, will decide by tomorrow. If I join, I will take 2 teams.

Cleon Jones

YES!
You may pick any SUB .500 pre any season team.
I believe the list I have put up contains all SUB .500 teams from 1892 to 2016
Again SUB .500 - NOT .500
If you find a team SUB .500 - NOT on my list please let me know.

Now, When the Draft starts for SUB .500 teams there will be NO CLONE TEAMS allowed.
If you pick the Florida Marlins, for example, then NO other owner may take the Florida Marlins.
Miami Marlins are NOT considered clones.
A team that played in BOTH the AL & NL ( 1 ) of each IS ALLOWED.

Please ask more questions.
There are NO Stupid Questions. You as an owner MUST BE 100% positive what you want to do is within the rules,
SO, you don't become irritated after the fact.

Hope to see you enter ( 1 ) or ( 2 ) teams in THM 56425
( 1 ) in each league is allowed. NL & AL

AS OF NOW with your Owner Rating -11266
You would be SUB .500 team Draft pick # 3 and 2nd team # 28

The most time you need is to pick a SUB .500 team
With your Owner Rating of ( -5336 )
AS OF NOW you would be # 3 and then your 2nd team would be # 28
" IF " cleon jones also joins, he would push you to # 4 and # 27
Sometimes just looking up your favorite players and finding what SUB .500 teams they were on.
I s the quickest way, maybe not the MOST thorough, but time saving.

Hope to see you enter ( 2 ) teams in THM 56425
( 1 ) in each league is allowed. NL & AL

Enter them into THM 56425, no need to pick a team at this time. That happens with the Live Draft Tool when it's full
8/9/2017 7:37 PM
I'm in with 2 teams
8/10/2017 7:11 AM
JFranco77 has joined with ( 1 ) team
We now have ( 22 ) need ( 8 )
