They say they are currently working on it.. they have to make the D rates high, because the scoring isn't there as in the 1972 to 92 era.. and yet the players today are on the average, a size bigger, and are faster. The defensive part of the game is spotless, compared to 35 years ago

Is that what today's Support told you? The D Ratings are already too high. I had that discussion with Mike Welch a few years ago. Ah well.

I don't know why they don't normalize the D-rating like they do in the baseball sim, to adjust for era.

They'd have to re-cut the entire database. Every single salary would be recalculated. To my knowledge it's only ever been done twice.
