You're starting to get long-winded again.

If you don't like the game at a specific level, don't play that level. If you don't like the game, don't let the door hit you in the ***.

Anyone who thinks some major change is going to be made any time in the near future hasn't been paying attention anyway.

That said, if there is a problem, identify and fix. Don't throw monkey **** on the wall and see what sticks. Only a complete idiot would expect people to pay for a constantly changing DYNASTY game. Any complete idiots around here?

Is it ever a "finished product"? I suppose they could just offer a software take home version, like games like Baseball Mogul. Following that model, they'd be offering updates and patches and new versions.

In the end, we're all just arguing for the game we want to play, according to our preferences. Different people like different sorts of games. If they really wanted to boost attractiveness, profitability and retention, they'd let us recruit pink unicorns, buy pixie dust to sprinkle on them to enhance effectiveness, and market the game in Korea.

Or just turn this into a porn site. I mean, if pure traffic is the measure of success we're going by...

Mike, you magnificent buttery biscuit, just ask any 2.0 user that stuck around for 3.0 if they're willing to pay for a game that changes over time (spoiler alert: you already have the answer to that).

Sure, let us recruit pink unicorns, but don't incorporate the pixie dust until you reach the second castle. We want to make sure that new users don't get confused on their first fairy adventure.

There are problems with the new game, I pointed most of them, tried to find solutions, some had better solutions than mine on some topics. I did not think 2.0 had that many problems. It was a better game. But 3.0 improved some stuff, I am the first to say it.

Players retention is a complex problem and I am not going there.

WifS could, if they really wanted to revamp things, create two more worlds and have 4 each of D3, D2 and D1 completely separate worlds. No need to worry about pulldowns. You're in that world and, once you've qualified, you can move to a higher level world. Or maybe 2-3-5. Or whatever. You'd still have the lower budgets at the lower worlds. And maybe player generation would change(less talent at lower level worlds).

It would be somewhat similar to the varying salary caps in SLB.

A few.
