Reddtrain's team, Human Rain Delays, stormed past mensu1954's Not Fast...Just Furious to claim the NL East by 4 games. Then, the Delaymen won the divisional round in 4 games over gorbyruss' Triple Dose of Temerity, which included a game 4 nailbiter in which the only run was driven in by the team's namesake, Mike Hargrove. Next, the Human Rain Delays topped MXC Walk the Plank, owned by traditional EO power skunk206, in 7 contests to take the NL pennant. HRD won games 6 and 7 on the road with a 4-2 decision in the finale powered by a 3-run longball by Walton Cruise.(known thereafter in team lore as the Cruise missile.) Finally, reddrain wrapped up his first EO championship with a 6 game triumph over ozomatli's MH Bermuda Dunes. The Dunes won the first two games, then the Rainmen ran off 4 straight, concluding with a 9-0 shutout.
