Early '70s folk singer Sibylle Baier. This is her only album, released (finally) in 2006.

"Sibylle Baier, a housewife and mother, recorded Colour Green at her German home on a reel to reel tape machine between 1970 and 1973. Upon finishing the recording, she gave out a few copies and retired the master tapes to the attic of her home. The tapes remained forgotten for 30 years until her son discovered them. He sent out cassettes of the recording, which led to the release of the album (in part courtesy of J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr)."

Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit "The Nashville Sound", Anything John Common, the Wilco catalogue........... plus last night I enjoyed Counting Crows "August and Everything After" and (prodded by his passing) Gregg Allman's "Low Country Blues" got some attention lately. As usual, I liked it all!

Right now? Mayall's Bluesbreakers live version of "Parchman Farm" from 1969 with 19 year old Mick Taylor playing in the stratosphere.

Ten Years After is one of my faves... well worth a listen. Leo Lyons an absolute maniac on bass. Skip Procol Harum and go right to Robin Trower & James Dewar's vocal masteries.
