We have 96 confirmed owners (with the vast majority of GCs purchased), so I went ahead and calculated the owner rankings. The complex formula used is based on a combination of past tournament performance (more recent tournaments get more weight), and historical WIS stats. Your ranking here is also your team ID which will be used to assign you to your league (note that it will be another few days before league numbers are available).

Without getting too deep into it, tournament results no longer can account for 100% of an owner's overall ranking, like in past years. In the case of you and bardin, since you have both participated in every tournament, this is the first time in quite a few years that your sim stats are factored in at all. It's also worth noting that win% and championships are not the only stats that go into that part of your ranking.

With that said, by all means, prove the rankings wrong. As we have seen in the past, such as last year with glowguy, doctorcc and myself, the rankings are by no means a guarantee of how you will do with the particular themes in a given tournament.

It would be interesting to see what last year's pre-tournament rankings would have been if the new formula was used and then compare to this year.

Good idea. I'll pull that when I have some time

I must admit that I was rather surprised myself to see me ranked higher than m&h who has historically done better than I have in this tournament. M&h has won it, and finished in the top 5 several times and I have never finished higher than 8th.

Saying it now: I have the lowest win percentage here. Woot!
