Players leaving teams is a common occurrence but coming back is much less so. Pick a player that left one franchise, played for another and then came back. Pick one season from their first stint and one season from their second. If your player had more than 2 stints with one team, choose 2 stints and one season for each. All players can be twisted to any year of their career and your captain must be on your roster. AAA 6/2 below average, no DH, no WW, no trades.

Here's a few examples:

If you choose Greg Maddux, you can pick one Cubs season between 86-92 and another Cubs season between 04-06. So you can pick the 88 and 05 Cubs and twist any players that played for the Cubs those 2 seasons.

If you choose Rickey Henderson, you can pick two out of the four stints he had with the A's (79-84, 89-93, 94-95, 98) or you can choose from either 96 or 97 and 2001 Padres.

Also, please note that your captain must have played on another team, not just signed by another team.

Use a ballpark that was used in one of the seasons you choose

If it fills up and catches on, I will blacklist the "captains" used.

I could do $120, I couldn't decide. Any thoughts?

$100 is high enough. Higher cap leagues result in all star teams and the performance is too random.

Surprised this isn't getting more takers, but it may be that people don't know which players played for the same team twice? I wonder if there is some way to look that up somewhere.

I'm in with Tony Fernandez 93 / 98. I thought better of the other 2 stints with the Jays!

I haven't been able to find any sites that will give you who played more than once for the same team. I think the only way is to either go through bbref player by player or just go by what you can remember.

Does your captain have to appear on your team?

Regardless, I'll go with Al Leiter, 1987 and 2005 Yankees. This would make for a great $120M team, so fitting them in at $100M should be interesting.

I easily could've went to $120 too but I was hoping to have a larger pool of players to pick by keeping it at $100.

Yes, the captain must be on your team. I updated the description, thanks.

I am assuming that your *captain* can also be twisted to any year.

Yes, captains can be twisted to any year of their career also

I changed the salary to $120, should be easier to get your team you want in.

I'm sticking with Jose Reyes. Just looking at recent hall of famers, there are a ton of options to go with.

I'm sorry, but I guess I have to withdraw. 120 million won't work with my team...my pitching couldn't handle the improved hitting. The upgrades available just can't compete. Sorry.
