It's in everybody's best interest that we have an open, honest debate about health care. It's one of the most important issues we face today and the cost are killing our economy. I sincerely hope Congress can get the votes today to start discussing the issue.

We need a bipartisan plan that actually benefits all of us.

Obamacare isn't perfect but it's a good starting place that needs some tweaking. Hopefully these **** waffles can get can get their **** together long enough to actually serve the public they were elected to serve.

yes...why cant we start with the premise that we should have universal healthcare without ideological labels...........then we can fix obamacare......like taint says it wasnt perfect nor was it ever expected to be...it was to be the beginning of healthcare for all....tweaking was relied upon...the republicans have refused it...they treat it like it was some kind of evil like we were colluding with the russians.....

What has to be addressed is the cost of goods/services not coverage. Obamacare did not do that. Address what a doctor visit and an aspirin in the hospital costs. But, if you want to lower the cost of services, you can't have a lawyer standing outside the hospital asking "Do you want to sue?"

And knock off the "Republicans" nonsense, dino. Legislation is a clusterfuck in DC and it's not one sided.

Of course you don't. Insurance companies are removing themselves from Obamacare because they can't charge enough in premiums to pay the damn bills and still profit. Why do you think that is?

if there is a premise that real universal healthcare is as vital as medicare...medicaid...social security......it could get done.....republicans do not agree yet.

Nothing gets done until people stop pointing fingers at the guy on the other side of the aisle.

You know, there is one giant entity that actually has the leverage to effectively negotiate costs. But it seems like single payer is a non-starter for most conservatives.

single payer is obviously inevitable but not in the flat earth koched out america we inhabit.
