I hate this part of WIS. This doesn't compare but in all five of my playoff matchups, I have a better record than opponent (my lowest win total is 93). In two series, I lost 3-1 and 3-0. I was lucky enough to win two series. My fifth series is still going (started late). I predict there will be as many (if not more) teams with wins in the 80s win World Series as teams with 100+ wins.

It's just as annoying when you dominate a team in the regular season and can't beat them in the playoffs.

When I looked at this for previous WIS I found a very weak, but positive, correlation between regular season wins and post season points gained. It sounds like that might not be happening this year.

My soup and variable cap teams got smoked. $70M managed to move on. XBH squad gets Mikey in the prelims...delayed for play in games.

I have an LCS starting tomorrow at the same time another LDS starts.

Sorry about that ... well, not too sorry. It's my only playoff team so I'm pretty pleased to have something still keeping me engaged in this tournament.

4 playoff teams 3 total playoff wins. Just unreal...

My playoff probability predictor showed that I should have 2.78 playoff teams, so I was a little unlucky to have only two. On the other hand, my predictor is based on wins and wins came a little cheaper this year than last year. 519 regular season wins was good enough for 20th in 2016, 30th in 2017. So 2 playoff teams was the most likely outcome.

That's pretty brutal. How many were the better seed?

To be fair, all four teams were playing teams that had more regular season wins (even if I was playing a wild card). Still, I expected more than what I got...

Very disappointing to have all 6 teams finish .500 or better, net just 3 division winners no wild cards (my 3 non playoff teams all had exp win% .550), have all of the division winners draw WC winners with even or more wins and get ousted and almost certainly miss the 2nd round despite being in the top 24 for 51/54 days of this tournament. It's been real, but I'm out

Looks like my 116-win 100M team will be making an early exit in the LCS. Positive run differential but down 3-2 due to three 1-run losses

Had a 3-0 ALCS lead. Now 3-2 after two late blown leads. I’m feeling some good old fashioned WIS BS coming on.
