I think it may be too early to have anything definitive. Even across all four versions of a league, only 480 games have been played (out of 7776). The numbers we're sharing here (on an individual league basis) are only out of 120 games.

140 NP/G in a non-DH league is a lot. I hope everyone has enough IP to get through!

Agreed. That league is an outlier due to only having two A teams. The majority are C and D

Is anyone having success with the deadball era Cubs? The two teams that tried that in my league are 2-8 and 1-9. My lone win was a shutout.

480 is a pretty big sample - no matter how large the universe of games is. It isn't a very random sample, because the damp hasn't worn off yet, and that makes a big difference. If it were a genuinely random sample, I would have guessed 480 would be enough to draw some firm conclusions. (Compare using opinion polls to judge what the public thinks - 500 people out of 120 million can get you within 2-3% if it really is a random draw.)

How about '00 Astros with Doc Gooden and Billy Wagner? Damn, that was one ugly pitching staff. Collectively they go into the dumpster...but you would have gotten 3 clones with a .444 team...Dotel as the 3rd? Biggio?
I'm using the 2000 Astros. Biggio was the way I found the team. I ended up cloning Gooden, Wagner, and Berkman. So far, so good. It's my only team over .500

Here are the running PA/game and NP/game totals in my leagues. The pitches per game in the variable league has gone up a bit. (I didn't check if this was due to extra innings games.) But the DH leagues still need way more pitches to survive - 7-10 more per game.
League PA Pitches
---------------------- --------- ---------
70M 39 130.6
90M 40 138
100M 38.5 130.5
120M 38.6 130.9
Variable 39.3 133.4
140M 39.4 140.9
My 233 pitch 12 inning mess in variable helped. Also, I took my eye off the ball for one day due to work and came back to a depressing 5 - 13 day with my first Mauch. I'm trending toward .500 for most of my teams :(

In 3D both beauchamp and mildnhazy are 8-4 with the Small Bears...

In my 140M league, there are two HR teams. Both of them are averaging as many HRs per game as the top doubles teams are averaging doubles per game (~2.5). Both are 7-5

My '47 Ted Williams on my Variable Cap team went 3-4 the first game of the season, he's 0-45 since.

I also went with 2000 Stros cloning Doc, Wagner, and Biggio. Off to an 8-4 start. 2nd in the league in hitting thus far with +16 Run Diff.

A tale of 2 teams...my $90M overachieving' 04 Cards are 9-3, despite a run differential of only +5, and 5-0 in 1 run games...they are due to glide down soon, if not plummet.

My $100M 34-43 Cards are snake bit. 4-8, +1 run differential, Mort Cooper is 0-3 despite a 0.87 WHIP. They also have 3 BS...

Not to put pressure on Ozo or anything....

But are we gonna get those demographic breakdowns of the various salary caps this year?

Y'know, the ones that say the 1998 Braves are the most twisted team at $90M, and the Cubs of 08-17 are the most twisted at $100M....

I like to see how popular some of my secondary/tertiary options are in the tourney.

Yes. Was hoping to have those out this week but I am still waiting on one of the league commissioners to send me finalized rosters for his leagues.
