What'd they have at halftime, warm milk and Tylenol PM?

I remember under 2.0 that a box score was posted once with a half score of 39-2 or something similar. Pretty sure the discussion on it was what gave rise to the whole concept of normalization whereby a kid with a 71 percent free throw percentage would have his ability to make the next free throw either improve or decrease based upon in-game performance (i.e-if the kid was 6-for-6, there was a higher chance that he'd brick the 7th FT than there was for the 1st one). The same held true for 3-pt shots.

Given the insane first half-to-second half swings I see in this game, sometimes I wonder if remnants of that twisted logic don't still hide within the programming.

Following game we held our opponent to a 41-16 second half.

Then we staged an epic comeback in a game against the second best team in our conference and exploded for 63 points in the second half.

I'm convinced my team only actually tries in the second half. They give 50% in the first half and then give 150% in the second half.

2am game of ESPN's twenty four hours of Basketball. That is just plain awful.

My uconn team once held a human run team to 3 points in the second half of the conference quarterfinals. Really strange because it wasn't an awful SIM, I think the team went to the pi.

Is it bad that I literally missed that my team had actually already outscored a team 41-9 in the second half of another game earlier in the season?

v2 stabilized the swings in the engine. Years ago there was a D2 game in the Gulf South with a halftime score of 44-2. Quite a halftime pep talk as the team losing roared back and took the second half 52-12, resulting in a 56-54 final score.

Speaking of swings in the engine, I've been trying to figure that out.

My team this season rarely puts together 2 halves. I'll outscore someone in the second half after being down 15 at halftime... or will be ahead at halftime to lose big.

Ive attributed it to a tough schedule. But... thoughts?

I mentioned this is my CC, but my 24-2 Centenary team’s 2 losses were a game in which we were up 20 with 18:25 left to play and one where we were up 8 with 1:40 left. Obviously the second game is nothing special, but that first game was definitely a tale of two halves.

It's coded into the game where if the lesser of the two teams overperforms in the first half the second half will bring them back to reality and even things out.
