I'm sitting at straight-up .500, which is certainly an end result I could live with for my first time out. I'm pretty sure my doubles team is going to be the anchor that pulls the whole thing down, but I'd like to think I have a shot at a couple playoff spots to balance it out.

There has only been one cycle since the update. The update was after last night's AM games.

Based on the standings just posted, 53-43 .552 is currently the cutoff for the top 24. That's equates to going 10-8 every day. That would get you to 536 wins (89.3 wins per team) which means you would need only 24 bonus/playoff points to advance, assuming 560 is the cutoff. What is also possible is that some teams will average about 9.5 wins every day (513 points or 85.5 wins per team) and will need to get 47 bonus points from 304 playoff teams. The average bonus points per playoff team works out to around 13.5 points. Of course, you get 31 points if your playoff team wins the World Series (5+ 8 + 9 + 9).

One other note: There are currently four people who are winning at a higher rate than anyone was at this point last year (.614 after 19 cycles).

Last year, the most wins in Round 1 was 560, which is a .576 win%, so we should expect the top performers so far to come back down to earth a bit. The fewest wins to make Round 2 was an amazing 499 from fooolishfool (.513 win%), who did well in the playoffs to boost up his total.

I am 33-33 since starting 24-12...we need to pick up the pace...yesterday's 6-12 stumble didn't help.

A .513 winning percentage equates to 83-79. so it's possible to advance to round 2 with a barely over .500 record as long as you can rack up some strong playoff success (probably two World Series wins plus one other playoff team).

8 owners pre-ranked 49th or worse are above the cut line...

We may not end up getting the interactive standings table this year. As of today, WIS was bought by a new company (sold by FOX after all these years) and support is a "one man show" for the next few months until they hire new people. See here for more details. Through the first 162 games (1/6th of the way through the season), schwarze is on pace to average 106 wins per team.
