16-17 Westbrook makes me miss the EFG Rejects league that used to be around. Gave players like Baylor, Iverson, and now Westbrooke a court to succeed on.
Make the league and I will join.
A bit like LTB's Pros/Joes League
I was thinking about that the other day! Been a long time since we ran that league. (And to be fair, it was benjihall who first came up with the concept long ago.)
Well thanks for taking up the mantle then!

If you game to run another one I'm in

Sure, I'd do it again. I couldn't spend much time on it until after next week, since I'm about to be immersed in taking my daughters to college (sob! gasp! hooray!). I don't know if many of those owners are still around... Like whatever happened to the likes of garyman and shapandrew? Anyway, lots of great owners have materialized since those days.

Here's hoping that Joakim Noah's bad EFG% doesn't hurt the team too bad. I loved his defense and assists.

I really wanted Ginobli or Drexler at # 71 but then I couldn't stop thinking about Stockton pairing up with Thompson. Most of the time my teams here are lacking for three's.

Come middle of September I may start one. Just started a new job and moving in the next week or so it'll be difficult to run a league till then

Okay, I got around to it sooner than anticipated. The Joes Not Pros signup is now posted in the theme league classifieds. Hop in!

Tarheel commented "I thought I needed the oreb% to cover for Garnett and Towns being merely OK there" - is there an oreb% that you generally look for?

I ask because I'm contemplating drafting a "bullpen" of low salary/ low min centers with high (above 10) oreb% -
I am a bad person to ask for advice, since I haven't played this league in probably 10 seasons or so and am likely behind the times. My target in the 52 mil has usually been somewhere around 35% oreb/90% dreb in the starting lineup, accepting that it will sometimes dip below that when reserves mix in. Other people who try to dominate the rebounding advantage more may give you larger numbers, but I've usually focused on efficiency more than rebounding.

DH's team is going to give us a good case study in how much of a rebounding advantage is possible. His first four picks combine for 47% oreb/110% dreb. Yikes.

I try to shoot for 40 OREB, 90 DREB, and 70 ast% with no one shooting under 50. so I feel you tarheel. I've always been curious if you shoot very efficiently if it isn't wasteful to spend salary on OREB because you have less to rebound if you are missing less shots. Idk just a thought

You would have to be crazy efficient for that to be the case just to clarify. Its why the state farm squads get away with awful rebounding maybe?

fwiw shots made off of o boards get a tiny little boost according to the knowledge base

For whoever is doing evals & division drafts, I'm using 75-76 Dr J at SG. 9.6/17.2 Rebounding percentages plus 100 D, 98% at PG- So he can guard Curry or LeBron if they play there...

I was hoping to get a response to my post ----Tarheel commented "I thought I needed the oreb% to cover for Garnett and Towns being merely OK there" - is there an oreb% that you generally look for? I ask because I'm contemplating drafting a "bullpen" of low salary/ low min centers with high (above 10) oreb% -

My thinking was to take advange of "bullpen's" numbers by increasing their min per game to 35 - and resting them until their fatique factor recovers --- any thoughts

Penn in DH52 like to have at least 35% Oreb but would optimally have over 40% Oreb. This counter balanced by my Dreb would like to have 90% and above

Going off advanced stats

very happy with Harden/Kareem. I feel like they're the perfect match for each other. McMillan and Odom will make sure they're at peak efficiency.
