What would be awesome is if the other Power 5 had 1 loss champions. One is left out and, if ND is in, two are out.

That would lead to 8 team playoff really damn quick.

I feel like you'll never see an 8 team playoff...there are already a ton of years in the past that you could have argued for one and it didn't happen.

They couldn't do a 4 team playoff for years because it was "too many games for 20 y/o kids" or "academics would suffer." Nevermind the 16 team playoff they've had for years in the FCS. As I mentioned earlier, when the P5 want one, the NCAA will let it happen because the P5 runs college football. They don't need the NCAA. And the P5 will want it when a powerful enough school is left out and a legit argument can be made for them being in. It may have to happen a few times but, when it does, we'll see 8 teams.

Prediction:
Penn State will eliminate Ohio State from the playoffs. 31-28.
Northwestern will eliminate Michigan State from the playoffs. 21-16.
Hope:
NC State eliminates Notre Dame

No idea why I keep believing in Stanford. Or the PAC12.

You have been a bit off on ur preseason predictions -with the exception of Alabama-.

I don't know if it's that bad:

SEC-Bama, Auburn, Florida. Georgia is a dark horse but I'm leaving them out. Auburn has been crushing recruiting.
ACC-Florida State, Clemson. Not buying Miami or Louisville. FSU is stacked!
Big 10-Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan. Not feeling Wisconsin. Michigan should be left out but Harbaugh is a genie.
Big 12-Oklahoma, Okie State. Herman needs another year at Texas then it might just be Texas all day.
Pac 12-USC, Stanford, Washington. Tempted to leave Washington out but I think they win the North and will have a shot to beat USC.

SEC - Bama, Auburn and the mentioned, but left out GA are ranked. FL was a big miss.
ACC - Clemson and the "not buying" Miami ranked. FSU is a miss but the "not buying" Louisville was the right call.
B10 - OSU and PSU are top 10. Missed on Wisconsin and Michigan(although I said they should be left out and credited Harbaugh too much).
B12 - OK and OK State are top 15. Texas stinks but counted them for next year. No mention of TCU is a big miss.
P12 - USC, Stanford and Washington are all ranked yet unimpressive.

All in all, not terrible.

right now, if I had to predict every game and pick the playoff teams, I would probably go Alabama, TCU, Clemson, and Wisconsin.

now, TCU could very easily get derailed in the conference, the Badgers could very easily lose the conference title game.....

but if I had to say based on who is playing well right now and who they have left to play, these are the 4

The winner of OSU/PSU today will rep the B10. I think it will be OSU.

Alabama is the only gimme left. I still think USC is going to win the PAC12 and make the playoff.

I also predict KY beats TN.

Tennessee NEVER loses to KY....not even with this garbage coach and QB combo.....Butch might as well start walking to his next job if his loses this one.
