If you took this resume, and added a Sweet 16 finish this year, do you think it could qualify for an A+ baseline job currently at B- or C+?

Which resume?

I would say no. In my experience the A+ baseline jobs don't really open up until you get an E8 run under your belt, and even then you need multiple S16 type runs to qualify.

I got UNC at C+ with this resume.

Wow, this really surprises me, as it's not what I have experienced at all, at least pre 3.0. The wild card in all of this is how much jobs can open up when they are currently in the C prestige range.

I was only qualified for A- and below with my NMSU resume. UCLA and BC were both A and I was not qualified for those.

A+ baseline and C+ current. Thanks for all the help guys. I think Indiansrock got that job from all of his previous DI experience in the 20s and 30s

The one thing is I go pretty much all out in scheduling so I will have an insane RPI for how good my team is. I'm 3 on the PR, and I'm not sure that's changing.

Don't underestimate the impact that longevity as a coach has - indiansrck27 had been around since Season 1.

Oh duh. Missed the C+ part.

Thanks. If I had a player like Vitallo, a shooting game changing guard, I think I would be a final 4 team.

There's been confusion with longevity. I have a ticket from 2015 that says only the last 10 seasons are looked at in the jobs process, but other coaches have posted tickets stating it's based on your entire resume in that world.

Longevity doesn't mean squat. I'm unqualified for the Kansas opening despite being top 20 all time in D1 wins and coming off a sweet 16, NT, elite 8 and NT. Not to mention I beat Kansas for the Conference division title head to head the last 4 years. Heck, I'm the returning conference champ.
