Beat This Hitter - MLB119708

With his blessing, this theme has the same concept as bheid408's "Beat This Pitcher" theme, except in this version, we will all use the same hitter, cloned a bunch of times, which means playing out of position.

In each successive season, we will use a different hitter.
Everyone will roster the same versions of the selected hitter. How you use them is up to you.
For simplicity, there may be a few predefined $200K players required in order to avoid the hassle of drafting an out of position player.
Your pitching staff can be anyone you want. Make sure to draft enough innings.
Everyone will use WIS Ballpark. No ballpark advantages to anyone.

Who can put together the best pitching staff to beat this Hall of Fame hitter?

Season 1 ---> We will use Babe Ruth (hitting seasons only)
I will pick what I think are his best seasons (usually basing this on OPS#).
You must roster these 10 versions of Ruth = 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31
These four $200K players must also be rostered: C: '85 H.Spilman, 2B: '19 R.Grover, 3B: '30 Y.Wuestling, SS: '99 J.Wehner (Click the secondary positions box)
These 10 versions of Ruth (and the four $200K players) will cost you $150,624,298.
The Salary Cap for season 1 will be $255M so that leaves just under $105M for your pitching staff.

Kingdome probably would've been the best choice, Petco would've worked too if you were super keen on modern pitchers

No. I didn't mean for pitcher clones to be allowed. I re-worded the rules.

Am I missing something with the 200k players? Wehner is listed as OF, Spillman is a 1b, and Yats is a SS. that leaves C & 3b open.

Check the box for secondary positions. I wanted to find guys with D-/D- to avoid the possibility of using them as defensive replacements.

It's kind of scary to think how many runs an average team will score with 9 Babe Ruths in the lineup, not to mention the errors he will make at 2B, 3B and SS. Even with the best pitchers available, 10 runs a game will probably be on the low end.
