How long would it take to fix this? Topic

And how do we know Tulsa was VL before the winning cycle? They could have done this starting from 0 APs, right?

This thread sounds a lot like a poaching argument.
You have to open schollie first. Takes two cycles, right?

1. Open schollie, stay out of sight.
2. Dump HV/CV/AP/schollie, sign recruit.

Good point, but can you open a scholie while staying VL? (Honest question, I really don't know.)

"This is a stupid glitch"

1. It isn't a glich.
2. The stupidity lies with a coach who cannot figure out that if TEN+ schools are on a recruit, then he better put in sufficient resources to be prepared for a battle. Since chapel isn't a stupid coach, I am frankly pretty astonished to see him climb on this particular whiney bandwagon.
no one would rationally design a scheme that listed a fixed number of interested schools and cut off some or all based on alphabetical order

for me, that makes it a stupid glitch

the core of the game in recruiting is resource allocation - the question is how does information affect your assessment of "sufficient resources" - the glitch is stupid because it creates an irrational skew of that information

when you say that the coach should have spent "sufficient resources" you are saying nothing.

Yes. Typically, if another team is at Moderate or High or Very High, you'd have to spend money to move off Very Low.

Edit: Offering a scholarship is different. That would probably move you off Very Low. Unless you're well behind.

So should we be asking for the list to sort scholarship offers to the top of the VL pile? That seems like a rational ask.

In my ticket, that's what I suggest. Or prioritizing human coaches.

Right on. This seems more logical to me than asking to see every coach who's put 1 AP into a recruit.

1 AP can get a school in the VL list, right?
Not 100% of the time but usually.

It's also possible to be VL with several hundred APs on a kid, or at least enough to unlock all recruiting actions. Then, in theory, any school could throw a schollie, cv, HV, etc all in one cycle. Sims won't do that, but a human you don't know is on the list could, and probably did.

Yup. Exactly.

Ive done it a few times.

People are invested in the game and care. I don't understand how customers relations still is deaf.

Don't destroy me for asking this...but if multiple teams are sitting at Very High is the order listed based alphabetically or who is leading?

I'm thinking it's alphabetical, but thought I'd ask.

You are right.

This has turned into an interesting argument. "There are more than TEN schools interested in this kid. Despite this, I can't tell if there is going to be a battle. Maybe I can get him cheap. If not, the fault lies with the game, not my inability to anticipate a battle when there are more than TEN schools interested in the kid."

I'm starting to wonder if spud even plays. Doesn't realize that sims just recruit arbritarily and clog up the considering list.

I've lost players in 2 cycles to teams that did not show up. So I'm sure they opened schollie on one cycle then used enough resources to jump me and sign player on the next.
