I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I just want to run this past the forum.

I have a freshman on one of my teams who I'm currently playing in the back court. But I think that he may develop into a decent small forward. My only concern is that he's only 5'10".

My question is: does that matter? Is height just cosmetic, with no impact on anything?

Indeed, height doesn't matter, only category ratings.

Height only matters in golf.

Height is cosmetic but height can be an indicator of shot blocking ability.

I haven't seen a 5'10" player with 50+ shot blocking or a 7'0" player with less than 40 shot blocking.

While there may be a correlation with height, shot blocking is still it's own rating.
