Another useful step would be 4A/B and 5A/B pitcher settings, to reflect MLB play in the 21st Century. Or finally allowing for what might broadly be termed guile, the ability of some pitchers to perform well in particular stressful situations.
I like jvt87's post, and have always wondered why this isn't an option. I have often had three high IP starters and needed to mix and match the other ones. Totally cumbersome with the current approach, and leads to some owners using fatigued pitchers since they aren't monitoring their teams as often as they need to to swap those #4 and #5 slots out.
