the trump defense is really a variation of the oj simpson defense....he is trying to paint mueller's team as mark furman and the fbi as the la police dept......simpson got a jury to bite that you could throw out indisputable physical evidence because furman made some racist remarks in the past.

you keep bringing up politics and I'll keep putting my lists out there. I hate politics. More now than ever, and I always hated politics.

Why don't you start posting playboy bunnies? I liked that thread...........

Once you guys get caught up to the present on the album lists, let's do movies. Maybe start with 1939 and work up to 2017? 1939's an interesting one, loads of great and/or famous flicks...
12/15/2017 2:39 PM
thats what i was thinking.....movies next.......based on viewing and reputation each year or just favorite movies actually seen per year ?
1939 is an historical year......thats a good place to start.

Favorites actually seen! Anybody can go to Rotten Tomatoes and read the "experts" like Peter Travers (worse movie reviewer ever!). I'm more interested in what we've seen and liked.

although i have a lot of the movies from 1939 i cant honestly say that i have seen many of them...
12/15/2017 3:17 PM
Maybe you're right. Maybe we do best of 1930's, 1940's, 1950's before starting individual years at 1960?

this tax bill is going to cause a depression just like the bush economy.........it is going to blow at least a 2 trillion hole in the deficit......then add the cost of infastructure.
they could have done a 25 % corp tax rate and goodies for poor and middle class and stopped......getting rid of mandate will lead to over 10 million insured losing or dropping coverage...........and without an incredible piece of legislation to strengthen the insurance markets....rates are going up more because of the loss of enrollments.........take that middle class.....in 4-6 years the depression is coming.
the iraq war was 3 trillion.

chump was asked the other day whether he would pardon joe flynn.....he said.... he "didnt want to talk about that YET....lets see what happens ".........that answer smacks of obstruction.....to rational americans.
mussolini trump ! in the senate.

my 2008 list tomorrow...after laramie has his list onto 2009.

Here's my 2008 list. Thx for the prompt Dino!

1. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals --- "Cardinology" (An absolute bomb! Frem "deadish" jams to heartwrenching odes to beating compulsion/addiction THIS is the LP everybody was waiting for Ryan to deliver. Always a deeper listen, every time!)
2. Lindsey Buckingham ---- "Gift Of Screws" (This one just kills me every time I listen to it! It rocks, too!)
3. Calexico --- "Carried To Dust" (Full throttle now and in total control. International now in reach. Huge LP in Europe)
4. BoDeans --- "Still" (These guys just don't make bad LP's)
5. Big Head Todd & the Monsters --- "All The Love You Need" (My favorite release from Denver's best rock band!)
6. Ray Wylie Hubbard --- "Snake Farm" (Bluesy country with a real hard edge)
7. Honey Honey ----- "First Rodeo" (Debut from male/female duo. Quirky and extremely good!)
8. John Mellencamp --- "Life, Death, Love, and Freedom" (Mellencamp gets all metaphysical and Bluesy. Produced by T-Bone!)
9. Sonny Landreth --- "From The Reach" (Hiatt's former lead guitarist puts out another gem. This one is swampy and hypnotic)
10. Jackson Browne --- "Time: The Conqueror" (Another real good release from Jackson. Thick and a bit gritty)

Honorable mentions:

Todd Snider's "Peace Queer" (Kinda odd from Todd. "Is this thing working" lol)
Punch Bothers "Punch" (The Debut from former Nickel Creek mandolinist)
Reckless Kelly's "Bulletproof" (Careening and great)
and "Mudcrutch" (The initial TP & The Heartbreakers!!-- Not recorded in 2008, of course! but released that year. Thank You Tom!)
