Could I get in with 1993 Toronto Blue Jays (unsure on my hero, but will follow rules)?

I'll take a second team with the 1966 Los Angeles Dodgers.

I'll take a 2nd team: 1921 NY Giants

We've got three openings left. Hopefully those spots will be claimed soon so we can get underway ASAP.

Another team that intrigues me is the 2009 Phillies. With Pedro Martinez, Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee at the top of the rotation, this team has a potentially dominant staff. And with big bats like Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins to build around, the offense could get ridiculously strong if Mike Schmidt or Richie Ashburn were added as a Hero! Sign up today.

Can I play? 1988 Dodgers, looks like Duke Snider as hero

Only TWO more needed before we're ready to get goin'! Don't forget that you can use an Expos or Nationals player as your Hero if you select a team from that franchise. The 1981 Expos have an offense built around Gary Carter, Tim Raines and Andre Dawson. Throw Max Scherzer into your rotation, and that team could do some damage. Similarly, the Bryce Harper-Max Scherzer-Ryan Zimmerman led 2016 Nationals could be pretty nasty with Larry Walker added to the offensive attack.

Another team worth a look is the 1958 Milwaukee Braves. The offense is built around a trio of Hall of Famers: Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews and Red Schoendienst. The pitching staff is strong (especially for a 1950s squad) with Warren Spahn, Juan Pizarro and Lew Burdette in the rotation. Add either 2000 Andruw Jones or 1996 John Smoltz as a Hero, and you could really have a viable contender.

Bumping this with another suggestion... The 1926 Cardinals featured WiS superstuds Rogers Hornsby and Pete Alexander. You can fill out the rest of the lineup with a bunch of underrated average/high slugging percentage guys like Jim Bottomley and Chick Hafey, and then bolster the rotation with a Hero like Bob Gibson. I seriously considered the '26 Cards when I took the '56 Dodgers as my first team. Come on, guys. We just need to fill two slots. I'd like to get these rosters entered before the next set of price increases.

Ok '37 Yankees please, hero is The Babe. Our only hope will be to win a bunch of 9-8 games but it'll be fun.

Excellent! That gives us 24 teams! I will select my 2nd team (#24) later today. (I'm deciding between the 2016 Nationals and the 2009 Phillies.)

Anyone else interested, please post your interest here and I'll put you on the waitlist.

I've bumped this up because we have one owner who may have disappeared on us. I haven't heard from him in more than a week and he hasn't opened my last two sitemails. The remaining 23 teams in this league have been entered and verified. So if you're interested in "flying standby" and being Number One on the waitlist, I may soon have to go to that waitlist to fill the final spot... And the good news is, if you do that, you can rest assured that this league will begin play very shortly after you get your team entered.

I'll join with the 1910 Cubs.

I'd like to be on waiting list, even for future seasons.
