What are the benefits to red shirting players?

They are much better players during their fifth year than their first year. Let's say their core ratings are 54 as a FR, meh, wont make a positive impact for you. But as a 5th year SR, their cores would be 70, they are good players. It's worth it to trade the FR year of three players for a 5th year when they can be the best players you have.
