Does it make a difference what designation I use under formations for the positional depth chart? Does WR-Deep run faster than WR-Possession? Does WR-Possession get open more than Wide Receiver? Will Linebacker at LB3 play with the better overall LB rating than the ILB rating I'd get with Inside Linebacker?

If you have different values for each type which is certainly possible, then a different player might be used based on the order they are on that depth chart. Wr deep has a premium on speed so if you don't reorder that then if you select wr deep in a formation you easily could get a wr valued at speed more than hands.

Doesn't matter. The actual player that is used in the sim on the actual play is all that matters. You can call them Sally #1- #11 for all that the computer cares.
