There’s something to be said for taking care of 500+ IP with a single pick while others need multiple players to take up that much, but that’s why guys like Ed Seward and Ed Morris went so early despite not being the most effective pitchers available. There are lots of ways to value players in a draft like this though.

Agreed. I'm more thinking players like Ruth/Lajoie and Walsh/Mathewson, etc. Even if someone else platoons two hitters or uses two more pitchers, it's still tough to match the caliber of their best seasons.

Ah, gotcha. I don't know, you'd be surprised. I don't have the historical results for all D.E.A.L. leagues, but for the ones that I've played there has been good parity.

90M Q&A:

Q: Are all 300K players allowed, or do they have to be related to teams you choose?
A: 300K players must be from a franchise you chose.
Any <300k player from those two teams any year of the franchise?

120M Q&A:
It would help to list the decades so we don't have to find the season 1 list.

Yes. The 300K exception allows for wider restrictions on <300K players

$90M What about partial seasons of the most expensive player? Are we removing all versions of him or just the most expensive version?
10/19/2017 9:54 PM
If it weren't for having to provide our DEAL salary for the ballpark draft, I'd probably be second-guessing which variation of my team to use right up until submission.

Assuming the salary update happens, won’t the guys who have finished their draft will have to repost their salaries so they are comparable with people who finish after the update?

Yes, I'll be sending out a sitemail before the stadium round

Assuming 2017 teams will be eligible?
For all leagues except the 110M (and 255M, realistically, since none have been drafted in D.E.A.L. before)
Just wanted to clarify this. If we drafted a player who does have a 2017 season, are we allowed to use it?

I'm curious about this as well.

Must've missed that question at first.

2017 seasons are allowed, 2017 rookies (like Aaron Judge) obviously are not because they were not in the player pool

Need some more clarification here.

The 1998 Houston Astros most expensive pitcher is... who?

Randy Johnson's combined season is 6.88 mil.
If you ignore combined seasons, the most expensive is Jose Lima's full season at 5.59 mil.

Randy Johnson's partial Astros season is 3.62mil.

I would say Lima is their most expensive pitcher, and Randy's partial Astros season is allowed.

But I can see the argument that Unit is their most expensive pitcher and Lima is therefore allowed.
