I don't understand the answer to this question. Are there restrictions on the 300K players or not?

I read it as there are 300k exceptions but they have to be from one or both of the franchises you choose. So the answer is 300k exception is allowed with that restriction.

I’m reading that as it’s allowed if the same player played for both of your teams (e.g. 92 Cubs and 94 Braves both have a Maddux - if he wasn’t the most expensive). But you can’t clone other players.

right - so you can have the same player if he played for both teams and wasn't your most expensive - so a theoretical clone but within the rules. Ozo can you please confirm?

Yep, that's the idea. If a player appears on both of your chosen teams, but is not the most expensive on either, you can use both versions. (If they are the most expensive on one team but not the other, this only blacklists the version of them that comes from the team where they are the most expensive player -- you are free to use the other version in that case.)

I think this is a better way to describe the $80M theme restrictions:

1. Pick Player A. Select a team/season this player appears on.
2. Pick a teammate of A (let's call him Player B) from that season. This teammate may not appear on any prior selected team/season.
3. Twist B to a subsequent season. No previously other selected player may appear on that team/season roster.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you finally get to Player Y.

This is in contradiction to the rules on adjacent players. So now i need another clarificiation.
I have player C. I twist his teammate player D to a future year. Can player C also be on the team I chose for player D because they are adjacent, as stated in the rules? or must it be a team that doesn't include player C, as stated above? If it's the latter, this draft is nearly impossible.

I am finding this to also be true. I have spent 3 weeks on this roster and have not gotten close to completing a legal team. It seems the only way to get a legal team is to continually twist players to either the end of their career (so the next twisted player in sequence doesn't play on the previous player's team) OR to twist a player who is traded to a different team shortly after the year you twist them. And God forbid if you choose a player (and use an early in the career season) who played with the same team for 10-15 years.
